Short Trip Hockenhorn
The Lötschental valley is one of the Alpine valleys in Switzerland you can really rely on to have snow. Sunny Lauchernalp is set against a stunning backdrop of 40 four-thousanders. At a height of up to 3111 m above sea level, you can find well-kept trails covering 33 kilometres, an exceptional freeride area, 50 kilometres of signposted winter walking routes and a snowshoe trail – everything you could possibly be looking for as a winter sports enthusiast. The skiing area is suitable for the whole family as there are pistes of all difficulties, ranging from blue to black.

The bus in the valley is included at the local tax.

Enrich your hotel stay with an overnight stay in a mountain hut in the Lötschental. The Lötschen Pass hut, modernised and generously extended in 2007, will be the first Alpine accommodation to be awarded the Minergie Standard in 2009. It is run with great attention to detail, enjoy the attention of the hut team and the distant view of the Valais Southern Alps. The Bietschhorn hut is a small jewel, simple and authentic. Located directly at the foot of the Bietschhorn, you will feel the atmosphere of a mountain climber. The view of the southern slope of the Lötschental in the evening light will be an unforgettable experience.
